Dans la pelade limitée (moins de trois plaques, moins de 25 % du cuir chevelu, sur le cuir chevelu ou la barbe), le latanoprost topique 0,005 % fait nettement mieux que le minoxidil topique 5 % : la repousse mesurée au score SALT atteint 52 % en 6 semaines, contre 28,8 % sous minoxidil (Ghassemi 2022). C'est le seul critère comparé, sur une durée courte, dans un seul essai de fiabilité limitée chez 108 adultes : un résultat à confirmer.
