En bref

Monter le minoxidil topique de 5 % à 10 % n'apporte pas de gain de densité significatif chez l'homme : dans un seul essai de fiabilité limitée (Ghonemy 2021, 90 hommes avec alopécie androgénétique), l'écart après 36 semaines peut être dû au hasard. Le 10 % irrite en revanche nettement plus le cuir chevelu : 100 % des patients contre 22,2 % sous 5 %. Les maux de tête (25 % contre 11,1 %) et la pilosité accrue ailleurs sur le corps (37,5 % contre 22,2 %) sont aussi plus fréquents sous 10 %, sans différence significative.
