Un seul très petit essai de fiabilité limitée, chez 18 hommes et femmes atteints d'alopécie androgénétique, a comparé trois séances mensuelles de PRP à une injection de fraction vasculaire stromale adipeuse suivie de deux séances de PRP (Behrangi 2024). En 20 semaines, les deux font jeu égal : les cheveux comptés sur photo passent de 15,33 à 26,78 sur la zone cible avec le PRP seul, et de 18,67 à 26,44 avec l'association. L'amélioration jugée par le médecin (2,22 contre 2,33 points) et celle ressentie par le patient (2,11 contre 2,22 points) ne diffèrent pas non plus significativement.
