Dans la pelade limitée de l'adulte (moins de trois plaques), l'association bétaméthasone 0,1 % le matin et latanoprost 0,005 % le soir obtient une repousse de 51,9 % au score SALT en 6 semaines, significativement plus que le minoxidil topique 5 % (Ghassemi 2022). Le score d'étendue de la pelade y est aussi significativement meilleur que sous minoxidil 5 %, sous bétaméthasone seule ou sous bétaméthasone associée au minoxidil. Tout repose sur un seul essai de fiabilité limitée : ce sont des indices, à confirmer.
