Un seul petit essai de fiabilité limitée (Nilforoushzadeh 2025), chez 40 hommes et femmes atteints d'alopécie androgénétique, a évalué deux séances de PRP en injections à un mois d'intervalle, avec un traitement de fond (finastéride 1 mg chez l'homme, cyprotérone chez la femme). À 13 semaines, la densité gagne +64,69 % et les cheveux épaissis +76,64 %, sans différence significative avec le même PRP appliqué par microneedling (219 et). La part de patients très satisfaits atteint 58 %. Ce sont des indices à confirmer.
