Chez 30 hommes atteints d'alopécie androgénétique légère à modérée, un essai randomisé à risque de biais modéré (Wei 2023) a testé l'ajout du minoxidil 5 % à des injections de PRP préparé par séparateur automatique. À 13 semaines, le nombre de cheveux par cm² passe de 56,47 à 69,07 avec le minoxidil contre de 52,79 à 60,81 avec un placebo topique, et le médecin juge améliorés 93,3 % contre 73,3 % des hommes, mais ces écarts peuvent être dus au hasard (26 et). Un seul petit essai : à confirmer.
